This simple step makes getting into bed much easier. It features a slot on the underside that allows it to hook securely over the lower divider, and it can be easily slid out of the way into the left corner or moved to a central position for easier use at night. When stored in the left corner, the shower door can still be fully opened in both the GC600 and GC680.
Materials and Manufacturing
Designed and manufactured in the UK, this step is made from 16 mm thick, three-layer bamboo plywood, precisely cut, sanded, and finished with a hardwax floor oil. The top and leg sections are joined using two mortice and tenon joints, a time-tested method renowned for its strength and durability. Bamboo is a natural, fast-growing grass, making it a highly sustainable choice while also bringing a warm, beautiful texture to your Grand California.
Installation
The step hooks easily over the lower divider, with the top divider then sliding back down to rest on top of it. Like all our products, this step can be installed without any permanent modifications—no drilling or screwing required. Once in place, the top compartment divider will rest 8 mm above the lower divider, slightly more than usual. To maintain this gap uniformly across the panel width, two self-adhesive clear rubber feet are included. For further details, please refer to the installation instructions.
