Awning rafter stretches under the awning canvas to provide added support and preventing sagging in the middle.
Suitable for all VW T6.1/T6/T5 California Ocean/Coast/Beach/Surf/SE models using VW Factory roll out Sun Canopy (Thule 5102). Also supplied with fittings for Thule Omnistor 5200, 4900, 5003, 5002 models. See download link for instructions for more details.
Features:
Ensures an optimal tensioned awning fabric for better wind resistance and improved rain water run off to help prevent water pooling. If raining it is advisable to have the front legs at maximum height to increase the canopy pitch and run off, and it is recommended to combine use with a Thule hold down or tie down kit for added security in windy weather, see our other images.
Very easy to install: extend your awning, assemble the rafter with the shorter end protruding, the in built sprung tension will allow you to place the rafter into the awning, at the same time position the front plastic support cap, for California awning do not afix this with the tape as you will need to remove this piece of plastic in order to close the awning after use.
The rafter is made from durable materials such as anodised aluminium profiles in combination with high impact plastics.
