AutoSock, High Performance Snow Socks for VW California Campervans, Size 675 one pair
Worried about driving on ice or snow?
AutoSock are super-strong textile socks which you pull over the driving wheels to provide the grip you need on ice and snow. They’re reusable, take up minimal storage space, and in many circumstances work better than winter tyres or snow chains.
Suitable for all VW California campervans with 235/55 R17, 215/60 R17 and 255/45 R18 tyres including Grand California 3.5t 235/60 R17. Please check your tyre size for suitability.
VW Manual states, for Front and Four Wheel drive (4-Motion), traction devices such as Snow Chains (Snow Socks) should only be fitted to the front wheels (Ref Page 349 VW Owners Manual Mutivan Edition 2022). As a minimum and for legal purposes you would just need one set of AutoSocks on the front wheels for a 4-wheel drive. However with a four wheel drive the best case scenario in extreme conditions would be to cover all four wheels with snow socks, as this will especially help with moving off and when coming to a stop.
Each set contains:

AutoSock will provide a massive boost in all round confidence when driving on ice and snow, and hopefully "get you home" or to wherever you're going, but don't overcook it, i.e. you should always drive with particular care in wintry conditions.
Full instructions are shown on each bag which, being fully waterproof, is also designed for easy and clean carrying of dirty AutoSocks once you've taken them off the wheels (pull them off with the orange straps). There's only one possible way to fit AutoSock, and no practice is required.
